His infomation can be found at teh bottom of this page. April Swope is running for Conewago Valley School board and asked for your vote, she is a conservatives who believes in the 1st and 2nd amendment and not indocturnating the youth into socialism.

From Februarys General Membership Meeting (gonna be a long one, go get your readers)  Bill Rittase introduced Mike Sokolowski as the Clubs New President. Mike thanked Bill for all his guidance and hard work over the years as president for more then a decade.  The club saw a large change over of officers from many familiar faces , Bill and Jeff Rittase and Bruce Study were honored for all the hard work, leadership and dedication for the last decade plus.  The club appreciates all your help and is very happy for your continued support in lessor roles. Fish an Boat Commission Officer Thurner -Diaz joined us while the Fish and Boat has been short staffed for years, this year they are graduating a class of officers and hope to fill all open officer positions in PA. Prop 71-the requirement to report trout stocking in PA has not passed the board yet, the hope is to have it approved and in place by Jan 2024. The new law would not only require fish stocking to be reported but would not allow business or people to transport fish from one water way to another. Meaning if you caught some fish in one pond or creek you could not transport them to the creek behind your house. Mentor youth day is March 25th, the Kids can keep the fish caught but adults can not, if you have opinions on this please let the Fish and Boat know as these rules can change year to year. Streams close for trout fishing on Feb 20th as stocking starts shortly after, if you like to help with stocking go to the Fish and Boat Comm website to sign up. Fishing Lic did increase this year $2.50, this is the first increase in over a decade. The Fish and Boat is solely funded by Fishing Lic and Boat registration, they receive no money from the state. Officer Thurner-Diaz answered questions from the membership, including topic of stream closures, delay in boat registrations, and projects in our area. From the Archery Committee quite time of year at the Range, will look to have a work day or two before we get into the swing of our 3D shoots. Pond Committee the Pond is now Closed until the first day of Trout Season April 1.  There will be a Cajun Catfish Fish Fry and Chicken feed to benefit the Lake and NuOx Gun club on Sat May 13th Tickets are $15 and on sale now at the club, see picture for more info. Range committee New Field Captain Corey Gajewski asked that everyone help police the range, many of the things people are doing that they should not, is hopefully from a lack of knowledge.  Please card people, point out things they are doing wrong like NO Cardboard, 1 guest per member, range flags on the rifle range should point in toward the benches, firearms should be unloaded with the chambers open when people are going down range, no one should handle firearms when people are downrange. Upcoming dates of importance include March 8th Range Committee meeting, March 18th Work day, and Easter Block Shoot March 26th. The chain stay on the gate has been worn threw, there is a hook to hang the chain on and then a hole drilled in the chain stay to lock the chain too.  We will be replacing the chain with a gate system in the months to come, if anyone has a heavy duty tractor with a post hole digger and would be willing to bring it to the club, we hope to do much of the work on that at the Work day March 18th, however other times can easily be accommodated. Reminder with deer season now ended all stands must be removed from club grounds. Fish committee we received approx. 900 replacement fish from our dead loss, the fish are doing well, there will be a fish committee meeting on March 1 to decided stocking schedule and dates, all are welcome.  For the good of the Association, The Great American Outdoor Show is coming to Harrisburg Farm Show complex Feb 4-12th, this is the largest outdoor show on the east coast including Firearms, Archery, Fishing, Hunting Trips, Camping and so much more. And for the 2A On Jan 31st the ATF published their final ruling on Pistol Braces, within 120 days an estimate 40-50 Million firearms will become a felony possession unless actions are taken.  There are a few different options for most people, we suggest you do your own research, as well as let you representatives at the Federal level know how you feel about becoming a criminal over something that was previously legal, without the passage of a law. Support for the Gun Owners of America and the Second Amendment foundation who have already initiated lawsuits would also be worth supporting.
