The Pond has been reopened, fall fishing rules remain in effect, limit 2 trout a day.

The new honorary life member is Dale "Tom" Deatrick, honorary life members are chosen based on the above and beyond votary work they have done for the club. Turkey Tickets for the 20 Turkey raffle are now on sale at the club, and there are some calendars left for those interested, makes a great gift pays out 365 days a year. It appears Greensprings Rod and Gun and East Berlin Fish and Game are withdrawing from the Adams County Chapter of the Federation of Sportsman, McSherrystowns Fish and Game maybe the only club left, more follow up and discussion at the Dec Meeting. The Pond lost between 150-200 fish, Jeff hopes to reopen it in a few weeks. Fish commission officer Rachael Turner-Dias was at the meeting, she talked about the fish commission asking for a fishing license increase they currently have a 2 million dollar deficit, if one is not given they will have to cut services and stocking. Also there has been another proposal to combine the Fish and Game commissions.
Dues are now Due for 2018- they are $30, and can be paid before any general meeting, at the club using the white dues envelope, or mailed in, if mailing in include a self addressed and stamped envelop for returning your card. You must be paid before Jan 31 2018, any member not paid by them will be dropped from membership. More information was in the newsletter.
Range Report-Safety number one priory, before anyone goes down range all firearms must be unloaded completely with the bolts or slides locked back. Its your range help police it by asking to see membership cards-you must have your card on you to use the range, you are only allowed one guest per member. You are responsible for your bullet, shooting the wood or over a berm is unacceptable, cardboard is not permitted. Help with trash cans- if a cans full pull it out to the other side of the gate it will be picked up, when you see an empty can, pull it back, two in riffle area two in pistol area.
